Join our session on Sound Recording for Content Creators to know the tips & techniques of recording good quality audio in a small budget.


This 2-Hour session aims to provide participants with practical insights in maximizing the potential of their smartphones for high-quality audio recording. In an era where smartphones have become ubiquitous tools for content creation, understanding the nuances of capturing clear audio is essential. This session will cover concepts such as microphone selection, optimal recording environments, and effective use of recording apps & software. Whether for podcasting, vlogging or interviews, attendees will gain knowledge & confidence to harness the power of their smartphones for good quality audio recording purposes.

Akash Kulkarni

Akash is a professional audio engineer, music producer, and audio consultant. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Film & Television Institute of India (FTII), batch of 2011. He also has experience working in FTII as a sound professional for five years. Even before FTII, He was a freelancer Music Composer & MIDI Programmer, with experience of working on projects of different genres. Apart from having experience in teaching & training students in sound recording & design for fiction & non-fiction, podcast programming, music production & audio storytelling, his core work areas include ambisonics, audio troubleshooting & problem-solving, game audio, sound design for animation, experimental audio, audio networking solutions & smartphone filmmaking. He is also a keen researcher, exploring audio innovation & an amateur hobbyist coder. Currently, he works as an assistant professor in the Film and Video Design Department at the MIT ADT University-Institute of Design since the last six years.
